Who will stop marauding Beatrice Chebet?

Commonwealth Games champion Beatrice Chebet added another feather in her already decorated cabinet by clinching women’s 5000m in 15:15.82 at Kasarani.

Chebet had a meteoric finish in the last round to floor Margaret Kipkemboi and Judith Kiyeng who were breathing heavily on her neck.

The World Cross Country champion stated after the energy sapping contest: “It was my first race this season, and I’m longing for a better year because I was here to test my speed and endurance.

” I believe with many races ahead, I shall be able to shape up my season.”
Kipkemboi (15:16.28) and Kyeng(16:16.66) finished second and third in that order.
