Odibets newest winner narrates impact of phone call that turned his life for better

Titus Kioi Muruga, who hails from Gatundu South, vividly recalls the phone call that forced him to park his car along Mombasa road after he was informed how he had won KSh469,899 after placing an eight-team multibet placing a KSh1,000 stake.

Overcome with emotions, the clearing and forwarding agent who is based in Nairobi, had to stop his journey temporarily to let the news sink before he could proceed.

Addressing the press moments after being awarded the cheque at Odibets head offices, Titus stated he planned to keep the money for at least three months as he figures out how to invest it. That is how much it meant to him.

“I received the call when I was along Mombasa road and everything in me started shaking. I was forced to park my car for a while, I could not drive, I was so overwhelmed,” said Muruga.

He was driving to the airport to clear cargo when the call about his win came through.
