Mama Lucy Hospital partners with UAP Old Mutual,introduces Queue Management System

The long queues which have been associated with the glamour 24 hour operating Mama Lucy Hospital will be a thing of the past following the introduction of the Queue Management System through a mega partnership with UAP Old Mutual Faulu Foundation.

 The introduction of the   Queue Management System worth Ksh.5 million will be in place within the next three weeks.

 The historic exercise came after the Hospital facility partnered with the UAP Old Mutual Faulu Foundation in introducing the Queue Management System and announced further good incentives that will suit both parties.This is aimed at improving the comfort of patients waiting to be attended when visiting the Hospital.

The Foundation Chairman, Dr. Peter Wanyaga Muthoka lauded the facility for handling many cases of healthcare in the Nairobi county. “We believe this will create value especially with the expansion project the hospital is currently implementing under the sponsorship of the Nairobi City County Government”.

Muthoka disclosed that the foundation had planted over 50,000 trees in Mt.Kenya region that includes Ndakaini Dam and the upper region adding that they support wholeheartedly the vision 2030 and the Big-Four Agenda that involves good health security, affordable housing, and Food security.

He further noted that they have  partnered with other counties like Uashin Gishu,Meru,Bungoma and Nakuru by offering assistance  in areas pertaining to breast cancer,prostrate disease,screening,Blood Sugar,and  BM Index etc.

The Agreement signing ceremony which took place at Mama Lucy County Hospital is aimed at improving the care and management of patients visiting the facility. The Queue Management System set to be in place in three weeks time will create efficiency and improve management of the hospital through better reporting for the facility, which receives up to 1500 patients daily.

Joe Aketch, Chairman, Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital Management Board who was present noted with appreciation the new partnership. “We would like to thank our partners for this sponsorship and we believe it will go a long way in improving service to the community” he averred. 

Dr.Musa Mohamed who is the Hospital superintendent thanked the sponsor’s for their timely intervention in supporting and bringing a new face to the facility.He disclosed that they receive 1,500 patients on a daily basis with 30 deliveries per day. ‘This is a  hospital of choice.We thank Nairobi Governor  Hon .Mike Mbuvi Sonko for the great work he has done at Pumwani Hospital .We have 450 staff and with another additional 120 nurses and 40 doctors,I know we shall go places” he noted.
