Man gets KSh1,500 fine or month-long stay in jail for daylight sex at Uhuru Park

A man charged with having sex in public at Uhuru Park in broad daylight has pleaded guilty and will now pay a fine KSh1,500 or one month behind bars. He pleaded for forgiveness.

Magistrate Joseline Onga’yo slapped Kanara Maina with the sentence for engaging in the act with Joyce Wanjiku, who absconded court appearance after being released on a KSh500 cash bail when they were arrested last week.

They were taken to custody after being found in the act.

The magistrate ruled that the act was against county by-laws, warning the man never to repeat it again.
