The Kenya U-15 mational team bowed out at the quarter-final stage of
the Mediterranean International Cup after losing to French side – ASM Belfortaine.

The Junior Stars were coming on the back of wins over CF Nevata and CE
Flaca in the round of 32 and Round of 16 respectively but failed to continue with their run in the quarters.

Kenya had earlier on picked up a 2-0 win over North America’s Eastern FC in their final group match to make amends for a poor start – two losses to Spanish sides NT Terres and Junior CF.

They sailed through to the quarters of the consolation stage of the annual tournament, following a 3-0 win in post-match penalties over French side CE Flaca. The match had ended 0-0 in normal time.

The win was preceded by a 6-1 thrashing of Spanish side CF Nevata in
the round of 32 of the consolation stage early in the day, with
matches being played for 25 minutes every half.
